Self-love. Everyone is talking about it but does anyone really know what is it? 

Our team went out to do the research and with some help from our talented Redecor community, we managed to gather a list of tips that might help you to LOVE YOURSELF!

Self-love is a conscious choice that we need to make in order to elevate our level of living! No step is too small here. But it does, of course, start with yourself and your surroundings. 

Our talented Redecorator Lauren gave us a few tips on how to achieve that sought-after wellness. 

Lauren Leavell is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and group fitness coach based in Philadelphia. Her mission is to make fitness and movement more inclusive and accessible. Lauren believes that movement is meant to be enjoyed and used as a way of reconnecting with your body.

Keep it simple! Take a few deep breaths and a few stretches when you have some downtime. This can take less than five minutes a day and help you move forward feeling a little better.

Schedule it Whether it is a workout class or a nap, it may be easier to make time for self-care if you schedule it. Of course, things come up but if you set aside some time, it makes it easier to stick to it.

Don't rush Building a self-care routine that fits your lifestyle takes time. Make slow, intentional moves to make sure it is right for you.


We cannot agree more with each and every one of these wholesome pieces of advice we got from Lauren. 

Since Redecor is all about interior design and your surroundings, we tried to see if there is a correlation between your wellbeing and the premises you live in... And it seems that there is!


Sleep hygiene is very important. Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, including weekends. A cool and dark bedroom will help you relax when you're settling in for a good night's rest. Go with calm colors and blackout curtains for the best night's sleep.


A clean and well-organized living space helps us feel that zen mood and boost productivity. Isn't that what we all want while working from home? 


Think about your absolute favorite spot in the house: maybe it's your kitchen table that gets the most sunlight while you're enjoying a morning cup of coffee? Or maybe it's an armchair where you can read your favorite book after work? Think about THE SPOT and make sure to return to it periodically for that extra feel-good boost!

Let's be honest, only a fraction of the people have a luxurious house to build their own spa room - but there's no need to panic: with little to no effort you can turn your bathroom into a sanctuary with a snap of your fingers. Add a few drops of essential oil to your bathtub or a shower drain, lighten up a candle, do a face mask… Can you feel the relaxation seeping into your pores?

Self-love comes from within, that's for sure, but the space you create around yourself and the choices you make daily do affect your state of mind and can elevate the level of SELF-LOVE you're feeling!

Today, together with our talented group of artists, we prepared a fun experience of in-game challenges that will remind you to LOVE YOURSELF and be intentional about it!
